When it comes to guilds, most high-ranking guilds are surprisingly always looking for the most popular to use classes (specifically for node/siege wars) (wizards, witches, etc. *classes that do a lot of AOE damage*). Don't let the thought of guilds looking for specific classes hinder you from choosing a class you think you'll enjoy, because most of the time, guilds are looking for people who are skilled in the class they currently use, and well-geared players. If you're not looking to join a high-ranking guild, than I can guarantee you that almost every other guild is just looking for members to join them, so they won't mind whichever class you use.
I think the sorceress looks like a really fun class to play, and I would've chosen it if it wasn't gender-locked. I suggest watching an Awakening video of both the Archer & the Sorceress's skillset, see which one you think you'd have more fun/comfortability with, and than go from there.
Best of luck!
Thank you very much for this advice, it's really helped me! Aw man, how did I not think to watch the awakening videos!? :)
This game doesn't follow the tradition mmorpg, but it has more to offer than a regular mmorpg. Again, look up "BDO empires". That is some advanced endgame stuff, but a beginner can do it too if they have the knowledge. This game is like 5 games in 1.
If you enjoy your class, you will stick with it and be good with it.
If you dont, you will be bored fast or just be the eternal reroller, bad at all classes.
That's a really good tactic actually, thank you! :) is level 50 the half-way level? Thanks to everyone's great advice I'm going to make multiple characters of different classes, and the class I'm most comfortable with will be my favourite! The guilds sound great too. [/quote]
You can look at it like such. After 50 it becomes more of a chore to level your char. Exp requirements jump along with mob difficulty. 50 lets you establish a good idea of the class, their general quirks and a good play style with them. Also you might eventually want to level a second character, having some already at 50 gives you a heads up. I said 49 because at that level you have to complete a quest to level to 50+ and at 50+ pvp kicks in (Not as bad as it sounds) So you can still use your secondary chars as safe skillers in you wanted to.
