Marketplace taxes
I was wondering what's the point of having a 30% taxes on every sales on the marketplace? I mean where goes the 30%?

I think it's to stop flippers. The market is pretty controlled already, but people could still buy cheap stuff and try to jack up the price a bit. That tax make it impossible to profit off of that.

Ho, that make sense

The 30% is literally "forcing" you to buy value pack, 5% is to stop ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like "buy sell buy sell buy sell 10mln profit"

The value pack isn't working for me. I made a noble wagon that sold for 3 million and I only received roughly 2 million. I didn't get the extra 30%. I won't be purchasing any more value packs until they take the time to fix them. They are a waste at this point.

That's what I assumed at first. Then I watched my pack/silver as I traded stuff but it didn't seem to be working. So I asked other people to check when they sold stuff and they found the same thing. Don't know. My be a broken but the for sure way I'll find out is to put all my silver into gold and empty my warehouse of all the silver/gold. They try it that way. I truely hope you're right. I would be awesome.

Are you guys on NA servers? Just want to make sure that it wasn't a problem. I sell something with an empty warehouse and check it that way. Thanks for your help.

I understand the arosal of such a question but whats it matter on the other hand ?

The 35% vanish obvioulsy. 5% goes to the dominator of the region, i.e. some guild, the other 30% go where they came from to begin with. Elecricity, nowhere, into nothingness.

Whats the point of not having such taxes ?
More money on the market - price alterations - you not having more money in your pocket at the other end either way.

So kinda useless to question this. The developers regulate the market eitherway and the time you need to aquire an item, one way or the another... you see.

Is it not the guild that run the town that takes a % of all sales?

The only problem with this is that people have spent real money to buy pearl items. If they spent it on something that doesn't work, then it's a problem. This is the reason I paid money for may pack only to think it's not working correctly. I'll find out later. I understand that the prices are fixed in some way and that the silver is worth nothing.
I just want to know so if it isn't working, I won't spend real money on it. I don't have a ton of silver yet to purchase a pack in the in game marketplace.

urgh..... lets clarify this. It shows you the 70% value after sale, yes. But when you collect it the 30% of the value pack get added so in the end you get around 91% of the sale price into your storage. Just sell something cheap for 100/1000 silver and check.

Value pack works like this : it applyes 30% of the final value you are suposed to recieve .If say you sell awekening weapon for 7mil,you should get 5mil .Now the final value is 5 mill to which the 30% from the pack are applyed that way you end up getting 6,5 mil.It applyes 30% to the value you are getting after been market/region owner taxed from that same value,is % of the value you are recieving after been taxed.♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ excuse my english try to word it as easy to comprehand as possible.

While the value pack is active, you receive 84.5% of the price you list it at.

100% (list price) - 35% (taxes) = 65%. 65% (remaining sale) × 1.3 (value pack) = 84.5% (final sale)

Thanks everyone. That helps to clarify it for me.
