how to buy gear etc for horse?

you can buy some starter gear for your horse from the stables in some towns or you can buy it from the marketplace if there is any for sale. you level up your horse just by riding it around, for pets, they get exp when you feed them.

i have a tier 5 horse and the gear in stables are greyed out. what can i do when i level up my horse / pet?

You have to do the conversation mini game with the NPC to build the required rep to buy the horse gear.

The rep also gets used up when you buy something, so you'll have to do it multiple times. It would be easier to buy it from the marketplace.

i forgot to mention that you could also craft if yourself, but that takes a bit more effort than the other options

There should be some stuff on there for a few hundred K, it really shouldn't be hard to make that kind of money, you get a bunch of cash at the start of the game just for logging in and leveling up.

how do you get money in storage? and i have around 70k :P

Just go visit the storage guy, click your silver icon in your inventory and it should come up with an amount window to deposit.

It's a good idea to keep most of your money in storage as it has weight and can slow your character down if you have too much.

Remember each city has it's own storage though, so keep your money where you'll need it most.
