Cooking bug?

So i wanted to make some good feed for my pets. The recipe is as follows

6 Meat
4 Flour
1 fish
3 water

It works when i use wheat flour without any issues however when i use potato flour then it does not. I checked online and it does state i may use potato flour http://bddatabase.net/us/recipe/174/

Is this a bug or am i simply missing something obvious?

Edit- Funny enough it now gives me an error with the wheat flour that there are not enough componets to create the dish and i may waste other ingredients however there is more than enough. I simply hit enter for it to continue with the making of the feed then it was succesful again. I made about 50 and left it on continus cooking. That error popp'ed up halfway roughly for no apparent reason

Are your fish fresh or dried? If you use Dried fish, you need to use 2.

Now, the reason why you are succeeding is that if you use fewer ingredients, you always have a chance to succeed anyway. And the higher your cooking level the fewer ingredients you can use.

Ahhhh... i was using 1 dried fish. Thanks so much! It seems to be working now. This was drivign me insane
