Yeah this was a problem for when I first started playing. Close the game open it up set your res click apply and confirm than restart the game than go back in check windowed fullscreen apply confirm restart that should fix it. If not try going into the games folder by steamapps common black desert online right click properties than check DPI scaling.

I did that but my game only runs at like 20 fps where it used to hit 60. I never changed the settings it just went bad on me one day. Can you help?

I came here searching for a solution, I guess I have found one but it's not so fast. You just need to press Windows+L and then enter your password/PIN and it will be fixed. I need a working solution which doesn't put me in these hassles as well. It is painful to log off and log on again and again while switching between Chrome and CS GO! :steamsad:

I struggled with this for an hour and a half. My fiance suggested an old WOW trick:

On Windows 10:

Go to Display Settings > Change the size of text, apps, and other items
Set this back to the default 100%

Make sure the game resolution and your computer resolution match!
My computer Desktop is at 3840 x 2160, so the below settings will match that, you can change the values to match your setup.

Go to Display Settings > Resolution
3840 x 2160 (Recommended)

To change the game resolution when you can't click on anything in the game screen:
Edit the text file in C:\Users\[YourUsername]\Documents\Black Desert\GameOption
width = 3840
height = 2160

Then save and close.

I honestly restarted my computer too.

Prior to the above I tried a few other things:

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Black Desert Online\bin64
Right click BlackDesert64.exe
Compatibility Tab > Check box to Run this program as an administrator

During the troubleshooting process we cleared temp files under also
C:\Users\{YourUsername]\Documents\Black Desert\UserCache
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Black Desert Online\Cache

^ This is what worked for me. Aside from changing the width and height for screen resolution, I also changed the integer for Windowed from 1 to a 0 making sure the game started windowed. I could then readjust the settings in game once I restarted BDO.

So I tried the above solution, however with 3840 x 2160 resolution at 100% DPI all the Icons on my computer were too small. The same goes for chrome's UI and I would imagine other applications. The solution I found that worked was I went into the Black Desert Folder install location (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Black Desert Online) and performed the following:

1. Right Click on "Black Desert Online Steam Launcher"
2. Select "Properties"
3. Navigate to the "Compatibility" tab
4. Click the "Change High DPI Settings" button
5. At the bottom, Check the "Override high DPI scaling behavior." box
6. Select "Application" from the dropdown
7. Click "OK" then click "OK" again
8. Re-Launch Black Desert and the "Fullscreen Window" mode should work regardless of Windows DPI settings.

Sorry for the over-explanation, I just wanted to be thorough so any user can utilize these instructions.
