Pearl Shop Costumes? Are they worth it?
I'm not one to go drop a load of cash on costumes in MMOs if it's not very customizable. When you get to level 50+, can you get godly-looking armor and weapons without buying costume/vanity items or if you want to look cool is it kind of a necessity to get a costume? And if you do get a costume, can it be repainted or modified in any way to differ from other players? I always hate just buying a costume set that tons of other players can easily buy themselves and mimic my outfit; I like to have my own, unique appearance and stand out from other players' outfit designs.

uh yeah, its just convenience,
ive been playing since korean version not very hardcore, more casual, only thing i ever bought and only very recently, was the remote marketplace helper. which basically just made it so i didnt have to run back to access the auctionhouse every 5 mins when a pearl item got put up

First off, don't spend money on a costume. Your money would be much better spent on inventory slots or weight limits.

If you want to look unique, pick whatever costume you want and then st up a notice for it on the market. This means that you'll be sent a message as soon as someone lists that outfit on the market. You then have about a minute and a half to run as fast as you can to the nearest market NPC and bid for it. Do this until you've gotten what you wanted.

Next, you're going to want to recolor it. This takes dyes.

The absolute easiest way to get dyes is to just buy a value pack off the market the same way you bought your chosen costume. This will unlock EVERY DYE IN THE GAME for you for 30 days. At the end of those 30 days, just get another value pack. (They cost 9 million silver. You can very easilly earn that in a day through production/fishing/mob farming.)

Boom. Done. You're now upset that it took you a week and a half to snipe both a costume and a value pack off the market, but you didn't spend a dime on useless cosmetics.

Keep in mind, certain costumes will pop up on the market more frequesntly than others. Newer costumes will almost always be more popular, and the costumes that also come with an awakening weapon (Primium costumes) will always, always, always pop up more frequently.

is there a way to permanently unlock dyes or is there always a time limit? Sometimes life gets in the way and I might stop playing for a month before I get active again lol so if there is a permanent solution that would make things easier.

You can get some free random dyes with loyalty points I think. Other than that I have never seen any being sold on the market.

These are permanent but dyes work like an item stack, say you wanted everything black- you would need multiple of the same dyes since they are one use each. Chances of getting any colors you want or really anything to match would be pretty low this way.

Thanks for the tips guys!

Evrything is so fricken expensive!! I feel everytime I spend real moneys on something, I have to first plucker-up my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, because I feel as if I'm getting royally screwed! :p Virtually, at least! ;)

Just bought the 16 slots and they're now all used up, just from fighting the enemies and having pets pick up drops.

Love this bloody game though!
