Help with the settings
I bought a new graphics card today, a GTX 1050 Ti and I expected that I'd be able to run the game smoothly in the best graphics settings but I get some low fps. I have 16 gb of ram and a 6-core amd processor 4.0 GHz.

One of my problems is that in the optimization options the "Graphics card low-power mode" is ticked by default and even though I remove it, apply and confirm, when I restart the game it's ticked again. Any ideas?

Also, what bugs me most are the tattoos on the bodies of characters. Even though the resolution of characters is amazing, the tattoos themselves are pixelated af. Anyone have a fix for that?

Any help will be much appreciated.

I think the pixelation of the tattoos happens because they don't scale well, and some of them default to pretty big on the character when you select them. Sorry. :-(

So, there's no fix for the tattoos?

Check you video setting and make sure the auto frame optimizer is turned off and that you aren't using low power gpu mode.

Same gpu and similar cpu (a10-8750k oc'd to 4ghz), and yeh it does not run great. 10-30 in towns, 40-60+ outside on medium.

I keep hearing the game is heavily CPU reliant and uses only single core, so single core performance is a major factor apparently?

I also have to uncheck the auto FPS and low power mode settings at start up every time.

Not much I can tell ya on how to improve fps with game settings, been playing a couple weeks now and any amount of tinkering has seen barely noticeble changes (low and medium run exactly the same).

Only things I can suggest besides the obvious things is focing Vsync off in Nvidia control panel, and playing Fullscreen will unlock max fps to allow over 60~ but that wont really improve performance when in places even getting 30 is a struggle lol.

Most games are more about single core performance than multicore. Many mmo's are cpu bound more than gpu bound. In addition this game isn't optimized as well as it should be.. by far.

You mean in-game or in the control panel of NVidia?

1050ti will not run this at Max settings comfortably, you're gonna have to turn settings down. If
AMDs 470s, 480s, and 570s and 480s weren't sold out every damn place because of cryptocurrency miners i'd say go for one of those, but there is really no chance in hell in getting one right now, especially not a 150$ 470/570.

If you can, i'd return that GPU and trying to get a 1060 atleast, not the 3gb version though. No clue why game is ticking that by default though.

ya it seems strange that the game always checks low-performance mode by default for mine too.

Not entirely convinced the game is even using my 1050ti honestly.

When I tried the stand-alone client from the website that gave the option to select my card or the onboard APU; steam version did not. The performance it's giving with this game would be more in-line with the APU's gfx lol

Didn't even think about that, i'd check to see if nvidia panel is using the integrated GPU for both you and OP, which may be the case. I don't have nvidia so i can't check the options, also can't use integrated GPUs on my mobo anyway, since my mobo on'y supports dedicated GPUs.

I'm guessing it's the same for both of you, if it's keeping low power enabled by default all the time.

Doing this and setting textures to High totally fixed the tattoos :GiveHug:.
