Black Desert

House Fame Fund?
So I am a new player to MMO's. Never got into them before. Just been a FPS/Action gamer. So not sure BDO was a good starting game for me lol. Im trying to watch videos to understand them but MMO language to me is like a baby learning to talk for the first time.

Anyways I saw in my email (in game) I had several house fame fund emails. Said I could collect a bunch of silver. It gives you the option to store it or take how much you want. The info I found about this doesnt really explain it to me. Can someone give me the "idiots" version of what this is and what to do wilth it?

Your "House" is your family, or basically all of your characters; your account. Your Fame is a combination of your combat levels, life levels (professions), and special fame (knowledge and contribution points), across all characters.

Every day, you receive a chunk of money based on your fame levels. The higher, the better.
It's literally free money. Take it, spend it, love it.

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated!
BDO is your first MMO? Jesus dude, that's like going with a spiked 18 incher for your first sex toy.

Keep in mind very few MMOs are centered around grinding like BDO is. (Grinding is just staying in one place and killing enemies for experience points to level up).

Honestly I never liked MMO's. My first experience was WOW. My kids played it so I gave it a shot. I hated the point and click combat and thought it was silly. Just not my thing. I have always just played FPS, Action, sports and RTS games. I saw some videos of BDO and thought I would give it a try. Dear god I feel like I need to go to BDO college to understand this game and the vocabulary. Its overwhelming for sure. Still having fun though!

As long as you take your time it'll be okay. There are some MMOs that unfortuantely overwhelm new players with information, windows, popups, and so on to the point nothing makes any sense.

If there's anything you'd have questions on, always ask around (be it in-game or on the forums here or the official site).
