4k not working

how do i get 4k to work? I cant click on anything and all the text is super small

Use the UI scale. Is this your first time using 4k? It generally renders the UI at 4k and unless it was designed to be used at such it is made tiny.

Close the game, go to my documents>black desert online and open up the game settings txt file. Put the resolution back to 1080p, then load up the game and put the res scaling to 200% and set the resolution to 4k and hit apply. Shoud atleast make it so you can hit buttons and adjust the UI to the size you want.

Yeah, I see what you mean, Its small, blurry and the button's click point is off center with the actaul buttons. Eh, cant expect much from a dinky little korean studio.

The game is optimized like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. You'll regularly run into a town have have the FPS drop into the 20s or 30s. Doesnt matter what hardware you have, both CPU and GPU utilization will hover around 30%.

If you like PVE in your MMO I would HIGHLY suggest returning it, the end game is nothing but PVP and there is literally nothing to do PVE wise except grinding.

It does have a super fun combat system tho. I was 30 hours in before I realized there werent even any dungeons, otherwise I would have returned it myself.

If you have low performance at 1440p why bother with 4K lol? Performance will be crap when there are more than 20 players on screen, but saying 30s no matter hardware is simply untrue. A proper CPU will give you high 40s fps in town.

You have zero understanding of how hardware works. Its kind of cute, you accuse me of having a bad CPU but somehow ignore the fact that my usage hovers around 30%. If my CPU was truly ♥♥♥♥ it would be pinned at 90-100%. But please explain to me how all the posts of people with 4970ks complaining of low usage and bad frame rates is just the fault of having a bad CPU.

The game has poor potimization, why does every fanboy feel the need to defend this crap?

Actually YOU have no understanding of how hardware work. I've been going around telling people how the game utilise only one thread so high clocked i7 will still give you better FPS. Do you even check each thread usage? My guess is you have one of those AMD FX CPU, hence you think your CPU usage is capped at 30% rofl.

Kid, you have absolutely no idea. A good high clocked i7 can get better frame rate because they have best single threaded performance. Will it give you 60 fps in highly crowded town? No. But will it give better than 30 FPS? Of course. Game is not optimised for multi threaded and unfortunately this is true for many games. One of the big reason why AMD FX series simply sucks.

Literally retarded, no other explanation, straight up dumb as hell.

An i7 and an i5 have the EXACT same per core performance, the i7 just has hyperthreading enabled giving it more threads with the same number logical cores. The simple fact you are going on about per core performance and saying you need an i7 proves you have no clue what you are talking about and are just regurgitating things you read but dont understand.

And no dumbass, EACH CORE does not pass 60% and averages at around 30% when you take peaks and dips into account. The irony of you going around lecturing people about hardware while you dont even remotly understand the difference between an i5 and an i7 is staggering. Stick to making trap and alienware memes in game, you're worthless otherwise.
