Whats with the map?

So, hitting level 50 im feeling quite brave and exploring more and more to see what the maps has to offer, but when I go to look where I have been, there are still grey spots where I know I have been, and the Cities are the only place being exposed on the map? How long does it take to unlock the map? Forever? Is there a world map you can get somewhere? Thanks!

you have to speak with each node manager.

Each node has a node manager NPC, you have to talk to them to open the entire region of that node. Here's a map you can use to find the rough location of the nodes: http://www.somethinglovely.net/bdo/#!/

Ok, so I talked to a guy (the Priest in the Abandoned Land) and nothing changed. Really confused haha, and some dude has his name stamped on the location so that also doesn't help.

Bipache the priest should be the one to clear that node. Use this site instead for finding these locations, it's way easier. Just type the node name in and it gives the NPC owner name and location: http://bddatabase.net/us/npc/43450/

So I did that and nothing happened, it glows orange (woooo?)
