Things i wish i knew before playing

-Joining a guild gives you permanent stat bonuses. My guild gives +3 fishing +3 gathering

-Click horse head icon in top left to teleport your horse to you as long as it is within 50m range. Permanent horse whistle increases this range to 500m.

-Silver weighs a lot, dump loose silver directly into town storage by clicking the small coins icon in the bottom left of your bag.

-All armor can be upgraded to +5 with a 100% sucess chance. All weapons can be upgraded to +7 with a 100% sucess chance. So all your armor/gear should be at least these levels. Dont use upgrade stones on gear you got from questing tho. Read my gear guide below.

-Its important that you press O and click the "Suggested quests" tab and complete all of the "Inventory" expansion quests. You can get like 18 more bag slots free just by doing simple quests.

-Look at gear as rentals, All gear can be resold at marketplace, so you can spend 15m silver on gear, use it for hundreds of hours to level up, then sell it and get almost all of your silver back or even make a profit. Dont worry too much about gear.

-Play the black spirit adventure minigame 3x a day (Escape-Black spirit adventures) for extremely valuable rewards. You can get 5M silver in one shot. or 1500 loyalty. Rewards get sent via mail.

-This game uses an outside program called Coherent UI to power its black spirit minigame. This process is known to bug out and use up to 50% cpu usage on multiple threads in task manager making your game lock up and hitch. You can safely end all coherentUI tasks in task manager. No idea why the devs havent fixed this yet.

-Amity is treated as a currency, if you gain 500 amity through conversation. And an item says 200 amity. Then you buy it and will have 300 Amity left.

-You can click NPC finder in top right corner near minimap and right click an npc like blacksmith and your char will auto-navigate to them. Easy

-BDO gets a pretty large patch every wednesday

-Servers refresh at 7PM Eastern

**OTHER/IMPORTANT**

Anyone who plays bdo. You absolutely need a valuepack. This gives you +16 storage slots, +100LT inventory weight, infinite appearance changes, and the most important +30% more silver when selling items on the marketplace.Valuepacks are $15 but can be purchased from the auctionhouse with silver in the pearl items section, Valuepacks are the most purchased and resold pearl item in BDO so its not very hard to win one of these. They only cost 9M silver which you can make in about an hour.

It is important that you save all of your loyalty points to spend on +50LT weight gain. You can purchase a total of four of these for a maximum of +200LT weight capacity. The best way to gain loyalty is through the black spirit adventures (can win 1500 at once)

**GEAR**

Any gear or weapons you get from questing are absolutely worthless. Throw them out angrily.

For a new player i suggest running to marketplace ASAP and buying a full set of grunil armor (head, hands, legs, chest) as well as a KREA mainhand and KREA offhand for the +5accuracy bonus.

All green gear is nearly the same. Any green set can be used as endgame armor once upgraded. Just do not buy any green gear with only 1 crystal slot. All of your armor pieces and weapons should have two crystal slots.

I have yet to win VP from the MP. I just end up quitting for a month and getting the free 7 day packs. I have a few saved up now. Maybe I'll win one on the mp now.

i dont understand why lately they have become so much more difficult to win off mp. The playerbase has remained the same number as far as just the steam version alone. I dont have the steam version but using the steam counter is still a decent way to gauge its playerbase

People are hacking and Kakao/PA isn´t banning hackers.
On the contrary, even unbannig the few they managed to do so.
Probably firering the one honest Dev left for it.

Oh and while I´m here in this ancient Necro, please edit your first horse tip.

Without a flute it makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE calling the damn thing.
Watching stupid horse galopping over then waiting for all the animations to finish takes pretty much as long as just running up to the damn thing and getting on.
Let alone finding the silly 50m cut off range, when the useless non-flute whistling works.

Better tip: right-click on horse head to find out where it is.
Run over and get on it.
Learn to always stow away your weapons to run quicker and SHIFT to sprint.
