how do i get rid of top notifications

It is highly recommended to take a little bit of time (just a coupe of minutes) and go through all the various options we have available the Settings Window. There are quite a few tweaks we can make to the UI/notifications/graphics etc etc to tailor it to our liking.

it does not remove all spam. and even if it removes text it still lowers sound volume when someone killed sea monster or someone used server wide buff. you can't be left alone, game still will bug you with ads in the corner and will trash your sound volume.

Yes since the pop up messages are really invasive and your computer screen screams every second hoping for that screen spam to stop :s

It would be nice if a toggle was added for those elements too. But I don't think it will happen. It was asked years and years ago, but nothing has been done, you never know though maybe one day.

Still +90% can be filtered out (including all the incessant enhancement billboards) encompassing all the opening-poster asked for, and that is definitely worthwhile.
