api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing error, launcher crashes immediately

It got resolved for me by installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 found at:

Steam\steamapps\common\Black Desert Online\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2015

I installed both the x86 and x64 versions. My computer did not have them installed.

The procedure entry point OpenProcess could not be located in the dynamic link library api-ms-win-core-synch-I1-1-0.dll

Of course that fixed it, that dll is from VC++ redist in first place.

It would have helped if the game installed this for me in the first place. I wouldn't know that this file belongs to Visual C++ 2015.

I see. Perhaps it won't run on Vista. Elder Scrolls Online had the same issue.

A poster mentioned if these files were installed on Vista, the it should run pretty much identical to Windows 7. I tried it but couldn't get my other machine with Vista SP2 to run Elder Scrolls Online though.

Not sure, but it's possible your OS isn't as updated as you think which is why even doing repair VC++ redist doesn't help.

In most cases it did helped.

Do you have both the x86 and x64 versions installed? I'm on Windows 8.1 too.

Do you have these Windows update files installed? I installed them manually since I keep auto-updates disabled.

I'm using windows 7 Ultimate 64x bit and i tried to install from folder named "common" but it still doesnt work and when i install it from folder it says some kind of error. Please help me!
