I can't find my horse anywhere and the icon is gone, anyone knows how I can get it back?

It propably died to mobs. You need to go to stable and it will need to be recovered.

Did you put it in a stable? In that case go to a stable manager NPC to see a list of your horses and where they are.
Alternatively it may have died if you left it near mobs. In that case, go to a stable manager and recover it.

easiest way: go to a stable keeper, buy cheap food, put in quickbar, press button

'cheap feed' from stable keeper is for your pets, so cats/dogs/birds/etc; your horse on the other hand you feed with carrots
