Steam Controller use

Has anybody managed to get a Steam Controller to work with this game? That was one of my biggest draws towards buying the game on steam over the main site, but it seems like the launcher is completely incompatible with Big Picture Mode. Its a shame, because I think the combat would benefit from a controller quite a bit, and I doubt it would hurt much of the rest of the game (especially if I have a real keyboard and mouse right in front of me just in case).

So any solutions? And if devs read this, any intent to add native controller support?

Interesting. It seems, the steam version must be running steam as admin to give controller support. The non-steam version runs fine with the controller, but only when steam is running in admin mode.

Same here. Ive tried various things and I couldnt get it to work, the devs lied when they said controller support...

Not sure about the Steam Controller, but did you guys find the checkbox in the settings for the gamepad to enable it?

The xbox one controller works for me I've just started playing the game and around level 15. I also have that keypad adapter that gives you a mini keyboard and is very handy when you need to check your inventory or talk to someone.

Have played most of the game so far with a controller. It's kinda tricky at first, but after changing some buttons around to be more like dark souls things have been dying a lot faster!

It works for me, but like Herbalacious said, I had to check the checkbox to enable the gamepad in the game menu. I'm still working to tweak my profile, but have exported a baseline one that I'm using. I based the configuration off of an old guide from Reddit at https://www.reddit.com/r/blackdesertonline/comments/48rwni/the_steam_controller_thread/

... No. i'm sure they work fine if you can be bothered...

On a side note, Razer Raiju works just fine.
