Im sure a lot of people know me my in game name is SpinDie or Dopamine. Just hit the 5k gameplay hours mark.

I feel obligated to defend this game. People need to experience this game at least once in their lives if they consider themselves a gamer.

Even if you dont get deep into this game, do yourself a favor and buy it just to get on a horse and ride around the roadside overlooking the sea and travel into the woods for 20 minutes. I guarantee you have never seen a more detailed game world in your gaming life.

If every gamer and game developer could try BDO for 1 hour, it would set a new bar for what modern games can achieve.

As someone who has been gaming my entire life and has owned every game console/the best pc parts every few years and every game worth buying since half life 1. It's without question that BDO is in a league of its own in quality, i am almost convinced aliens made this game because the amount of assets, vegetation variety, high res textures, hand crafted map, animations is just seemingly impossible to realize.

I personally think bdo makes witcher3 seem like a kids high school project

The only other game engine that impresses me similarly is GTA5's.

I think you are missing the bigger picture, you can get thousands of hours of gaming in one of the highest quality gaming worlds for only $5. Outfits are purely cosmetic. But you are right they are too expensive i think everyone has always agreed that even since launch.

But those outfits you can buy with in-game currency from sellers. And it only takes an hour of gameplay to be able to afford a $30 outfit with in-game silver. I've bought like 12 premium warrior outfits and never spent a penny of real $ on this game.

Im pretty cheap, even tho ive played 5k hours. I've only spent a total of $40 on bdo and i have all of those "p2w" items people cry about

You can try the 7 days free trial on the website if you really wanna see if the game is of your liking, dont spend money on an already dying game full of bugs and mismanagement.

Dude your attitude really makes this community not look good. We get it, you love the game. I like its combat and a lot of the afk mechanics as I've played the client ver before it hit here. But I really think you should tone it down. New people checking out the community and the game might get turned off from stuff like this.

I understand the feeling of "obligation to defend a game" that you are really passionate about. While you make strong points against the P2W aspects, you also can't seem to help but throw out flame-inducing remarks along with it. That doesn't give you points for a game that you like, just try keeping it positive.

well, you got all those items, BUT also played 5k hours. A normal employee can play ~20-40h a week. That would be ~3,5 years. All I read about this game is, how grindy it is. Seems like you have to be a hardcore gamer without a social life if you want to accomplish anything in this game. I'll definitely try it out for the 6 bucks, when I find the time to download it with my poor 3Mbit, but I won't expect much.
