Greetings adventurer!
Thank you for contacting the Black Desert Online customer support regarding your issue. I am GM Creator here to assist you with your request.
This error may related to a network problem, try the following steps to fix it:
- Please make sure that your java and browsers (chrome , firefox) are up-to-date (if there is any).
- Use the Google's public DNS addresses: https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using
- Turn off / clear the proxy settings if you have any:
Windows 10:
In Windows Go to settings, click "Network and Internet", click "Proxy" turn off all settings.
Windows 7:
Click "Start", click "Control Panel", click "Network and Internet", click "Internet Options", click the "Connections" tab, click "LAN Settings", turn off all options.
- Power cycle modem/router: Shut down all computers connected to the modem/router. Power down and unplug the modem and the router if you're using one. Plug in and turn on the modem and router, and allow them to completely boot up until the front panel connection lights on the modem show a steady connection.
- Disable antivirus
- Disable firewall
- If using Wifi connection, switch to wired connection if possible
- Turn off any VPN or ping booster application
- Make sure that your router, firewall, ISP is not blocking the ports 8888 and 9991 - 9993
You can check it there: http://portquiz.net:8888/ If you can see the homepage - it's okay. If you can't see it - you have your 8888 and 9991 - 9993 port blocked by router/firewall/ISP.
- Suggested to try it without the router (ie: plug your net cable directly to your computer) to make sure it's not a router related problem.
- Suggested to check your network connection (speed and latency) http://www.speedtest.net/
Kind regards,
GM Creator

Now I know it's not my network for this is the only game that crashed my internet.
Hope this helps unless someone else has a fix, i'm still in the same boat.
Hey there :)
Thank you for contacting the Black Desert Online customer support regarding your issue. I'm GM Horizon, here to assist you with your request.
It could be possible that you need to clear your DNS cache.
Most operating systems and DNS clients will automatically cache IP addresses and other DNS results, this is done in order to speed up subsequent requests to the same hostname. Sometimes bad results will be cached and therefore need to be cleared from the cache in order for you to communicate with the host correctly.
In order to clear your DNS cache, please follow these steps:
• From Start, search for cmd.
• Right click on Command Prompt and click Run as administrator.
• Type in the following command: ipconfig /flushdns
• If the command was successful, you will see the message "Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache".
Additionally, you should also reset your TCP/IP using the following command in the Command Prompt (keep in mind, you will still need administrator rights):
netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
*After the reset is complete, make sure to restart your computer.
TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) is the basic communication language or protocol of the Internet. When you are set up with direct access to the Internet, your computer is provided with a copy of the TCP/IP program just as every other computer that you may send messages to or get information from also has a copy of TCP/IP. Sometimes, TCP/IP settings might be improperly configured or corrupted, and will need to be reset.
Please do let me know if this works for you!

GM Horizon

THIS GM IS A BLOODY MVP!
Hey there!
After the game has loaded, could you please try closing your Black Desert Online Steam Launcher from your Windows Tray located on the bottom right of your screen? Does this revert your latency back to normal?
Best Regards,
GM Horizon

No the person in the forums who found it is the mvp, not the people using his workaround.
