Get the Explorer's Package. It's $30.
You get:
Base game ($6 value)
I've listed the in-game prices for the individual items above so that you can see if you later were to purchase any of the items after buying only the base game. You will easily exceed the $30 for the package. Look at the DLC pricing and you can see that if you dont buy it bundled with the game, you will pay more.
If you have all the time in the world to do things manually by hand, live with severely limited inventory, run back to your horse where ever you left it every single time. Sure you can buy the $6 package.
If an extra $24 bucks isn't that much more to you, and you want a more enjoyable convenient game play, buy the $30 package. Then go buy 3 additional pets (since the $30 package comes with one already, pets loot for you so you dont spend half your time picking up items off the ground instead of killing thousands of more monsters).
You can hold off on the pets until you reach a point in the game where you really feel like constantly hitting "F" to loot drops from every single dead body is a complete waste of your time that you are willing to open your wallet and take out that credit card to buy enough pearls to get 3 pets.
No.
Isn't this all just for a single character and non transferable though?
As far as I remember the cash shop / marketing is incredibly crash grabby.
On a new account, I think it gave players 3-4 character slots. plus the 1-free event one thats being given out right now because of striker release.
Unfortunately how the inventory expansions and whistles work are per character so yes they are cash grabby. Be sure to ONLY apply them only to a character that is going to be your "main".
Having a main character in this game is requires a lot of time, work, and investment. Which is why for most people, alt characters are mostly just to either take a break from their main, or mules for energy (since maximum energy limit in this game is shared across the entire account). So more alt characters, more cumulative energy you have to go expend on gatherings or night vendor.
what about the travler spack
Traveller's Pack is basically the 'Old Explorers" Pack when the game was new for NA. The Old explorers got Tier 3 Horse, did not have the character expansions nor the Inventory expansions.
Whatever you choose will be MUCH better than the old packs back then, but Explorer is more bang for your buck, or at least I think so.
BTW, if you're getting this AFTER the sale, I recommend only buying basic because for some reason Steam's prices for the packs are about 100% higher than what the official site offers.
