no sound & no Voice.

so far i rebought the game since i saw it was for the desktop now & low & behold the game kept crashing i managed to fix the crashing but now the game has soundtrack & Rain sound effect, but theres no Sound of a steam boat, walking, shooting, & no voice lines at all... i've so far i've been unsuccessfull to fix this Sound & voice Bug can can anybody assist?

I've had this problem too. And now on a new gaming pc nothing has changed. Hopefully someone will stop by and help.

When I looked into it in the past some people recommended checking your version of directx. Updating drivers. And maybe deactivating something that normally runs in the background. If you Google this there are past conversations that had things that fixed the problem for them.

Solved for me:
I had the same issue:
I updated audio driver from realtek: didn't help.
Then in desperation I updated the graphics card driver: didn't help.
Then I updated the firmware of my reverb g2: that helped.

Update: Not sure if this helped. I only have sound every 2nd time I start the game.
