[SPOILERS] When did you guess/realize who killed Tesla?
While I liked the game, I found the "Whodunnit"-plot around Tesla's murder a bit predictable - and now I'm curious whether others had the same experience, or whether I just got very lucky with my guess. :)

About halfway through the first chapter, I was getting fairly sure that Flora was the killer. My thought process was this:

1. The devs spent extra time on explaining that Flora couldn't be the killer due to the lack of footprints in the mud. That made me suspicious. In terms of storytelling, there was no need to reduce the number of suspects already and turn one into a "sidekick" for the detective. So I suspected this "alibi" to be obfuscation on part of the devs, to prepare for a "surprising" twist later.

2. I explored the entire house as soon as I could, and found several letters from Tesla about "making people's greatest mistakes undone". This indicated a time machine, or at least a way to influence past events. This rendered Flora's alibi worthless. With a time machine in play, it was clear that she could either kill Tesla, go back in time, and make it look like she was outside during the time of the murder - or that a future Flora could go back in time and facilitate the killing that she already knew about.

3. Since I suspected her anyway, she was one of the first characters that I followed in chapter 1. When she went into the basement, the machinery there and the "extra-secret" room fit so well into my "time machine" theory, that I became pretty sure about it. And I kept encountering other clues that fit the theory (Edison wondering why the dead Tesla "looks so old", the newspaper article about the 141-years old man, Augustus hearing a woman arguing with Tesla before he died, etc.)

How was this for others? Did other people realize this early on, or was I just lucky to focus on the plotline that would lead to the killer? I'm curious. :)

I only realised as Flora realised. Clearly there was some time travelling business going on with Tesla but the spirit radio had me thinking that Flora was trying to bring her husband back from the dead, or communicate with him, rather than considering that she wants to go back in time.

Yeah I was fooled by Swan's apparent confession when he's burning the painting. Sounded like he said he murdered Tesla, and I thought "oh no, really? The Butler Did It?" but it was when I saw that duplicate locket (and I've watched the Prestige like 6 times) I started to wonder about Flora being duplicated, and then it played out that way.
