Some Suggestions
So I've sunk 10 hours into the game and gotten to two different endings; I thought I'd make a couple of suggestions since the Dev seems to want them.

1) Gallery of previous paintings
For three reasons: one, because it would help to give a better ability to reflect after the epilogue than the gallery,
two, because it would help prevent accidentally copying a painting you already did in a previous session/run, and
three, because it would allow you to keep paitings you might have had to bin or sell quickly in-game but neglected to screenshot.

2) Better feedback from buyers
In particular, the Punks in act 1 keep telling me my work 'lacks energy', and I have no idea what that means. I THOUGHT it meant 'move the brush with more energy' (or that I made a painting but I didn't create art) but even after creating paintings that were essentially just me violently flailing at the canvas off and on for a minute and a half I was still getting that line. Something that gave a more direct indication of what the player needed to do would be extremely helpful here.
There were a few others I noticed later in the game but I chalked that up to an attempt to increase challenge.

3) 'Hard' mode
As far as I can tell, the value of a painting increases based on the time spent painting it, with no real cap.
While on one level this is appreciated, since it encourages taking the time to properly paint what one wants, it also renders the automated bills effectively meaningless as soon as you've sold your first painting in the chapter, because all time spent on painting is rewarded more or less equally. The only time money has ever been a concern during my time with Passpartout has been my most recent attempt to get the Punks to buy my paintings - because my gallery fills up with flail-doodles that all of them insist lack energy (but the old men still want to buy), and somehow that doesn't seem like the intended effect.
Thus, players might appreciate the option for a togglable 'cap' to the multiplier for time spent on a painting, so that there is at least some incentive to streamline one's work habits.

Lastly, could anyone please tell me WTF the Punks want from me? Even the community guides didn't help, since the paintings given as examples still give me the 'lacks energy' comments.

Yo! Really appreciate the feedback. We'll take this into account :)
I totally agree on point 1.
Basic features that allow the player to document and curate their effort would be well appreciated.
The concept of this is great and intuive, but the roguelike formula of not being able to save any artworks conveniently is a bit of a bummer for people that get invested into the limited toolset creatively.
PP is a cool game but its also a nice productivity tool.
