Decoding the cryptic message in the Halloween Update. Here's what I've found so far.

Firstly, opening Ghost_Stormcrow.lua in steamapps/common/Passpartout/Passpartout_Data/StreamingAssets/CES/es revealed: https://imgur.com/a/2K8we

The green text states: "The answer lies in the riddle of rings. Speak friend and enter." And then: "Count them all and say the word"

I'm not sure what this means but I'm digging around for clues.

Ghost_Robert.lua also contains this line of code:

--Here lies the answer.
addCriteria(generateColorDominanceSumString({darkBlueIndex, blueIndex, lightBlueIndex, darkGreenIndex, greenIndex, lightGreenIndex, darkPurpleIndex, purpleIndex, lightPurpleIndex}) .. " < 0.5", {
"OooOoOooooo... :("

Anywhoozle.

Opening up Ghost_Voidwalker.lua in the same directory revealed 3 bianary codes, which roughly translate to

Cynth
Benjamin

And most intestingly enough:

The birthyear of Passpartout. Search the book of faces.

Searching around Flamebait Games' Facebook page I found a couple of dates that might be a lead.

June 6th, 2017 (Passpartout's release date)
and
November 28th, 2015 (The oldest Passpartout related post I can find)

So then I decided to check out Hipster_Benjamin.lua and Punk_Cynth.lua. Nothing of interest.


For anyone who wants to know just how to appeal to ghosts and get sweet hats. I'm still figuring that one out and I encourage you to do so also, but if you're lazy I'll share my discoveries there too.

Count them all and say the word
if score.name == "mellon" and score.colorComplexity >= 0.2 and score.colorComplexity <= 0.21 then

And i don't understand what stormcrow wants, any tip please ?

That's what I've been trying to figure out since, this "Riddle of Rings." Because I want that Merlin hat.

The thing is is that every ghost has a certain file attributed to it. Some more cryptic than others.
