Save game?
How do you save the progress in the game? Am I this much of a noob, or am I missing something?

Rayharry, hi!
This game has auto saves, they are created at the end of the levels. So you must clear the first level and step into the teleporter to make a save.

Oh, okay! :D So it was really just about me being a noob, not even finishing one level.
