Steam lately (not just my game) has had problems with non VR games launching with VR which can cause sound issues, but as you said you are certain it's not a SteamVR issue. So it might be related to a similar bug where the default settings aren't loading properly.
If you could go to....
C:\Users\[NAME]\AppData\Local\SwordWithSauce1_4\Saved\SaveGames
Then delete "InputsSaveMain.sav"
Then open the game.
This will ensure the game does load the default sound settings properly.
Thank you so much for the help, but unfortunately the game is still silent. Any other ideas?
Nope. I've checked.
So yes, this is the issue. Putting my computer on max volume, I can hear the faintest sound when detonating the impact grenades. Is this something you can fix Diatomic Muffin?
So this kinda fixed on its own for me... but i found out it was happening when my monitor was plugged in. Running the game with audio working, THEN plugging in my monitor fixed it permanently for me, idk why. Hope that helps
I just unplugged my Vive and that fixed it :)
