You probably reached/watched episodes 4 and 5 (Decoy + Meme)
Years ago when I wanted to watch this series, I watched until that point and somehow just stopped. Maybe because I felt letdown by these episodes. They just did not fulfill my expectations and didn´t feel as good as the previous ones.
Basically they are in themselves (like pretty much every episode of SAC) the execution/treatment of a single idea or concept. Only that these also add up to the mystery of the Laughing Man.
There is lots of talk and theorizing by the protagonists about the mystery of the Laughing Man which may seem redundant and even boring.

I suggest you try to forget these rather boring episodes for now and just continue watching.
It definetly feels more worthwile after those.
Eventually these episodes may become more meaningful in hindsight and you will maybe want to give them another try. Until then you should hopefully be greatly entertained with the following episodes.
At least it worked for me. (3:4 through SAC1 at the moment of writing this)

Everything else is so boring.
