Disappointing

Lol, sorry about that. You can skip around, but before the final stretch of complex episodes, you should see the Stand Alone episodes.

You probably reached/watched episodes 4 and 5 (Decoy + Meme)
Years ago when I wanted to watch this series, I watched until that point and somehow just stopped. Maybe because I felt letdown by these episodes. They just did not fulfill my expectations and didn´t feel as good as the previous ones.
Basically they are in themselves (like pretty much every episode of SAC) the execution/treatment of a single idea or concept. Only that these also add up to the mystery of the Laughing Man.
There is lots of talk and theorizing by the protagonists about the mystery of the Laughing Man which may seem redundant and even boring.
(I myself have not yet finished Season 1+2 and do not know what this is all about)

And then there are maybe 1 or two episodes a bit later that also seem a tad meaningless/boring.
(The episode with the medicine students comes to my mind...)

But believe me, after episodes ~5-8 the season concentrates more on the characters of Section 9 (including the Tachikomas :beatbuddy:) and it becomes much much more enjoyable.
I suggest you try to forget these rather boring episodes for now and just continue watching.
It definetly feels more worthwile after those.
Eventually these episodes may become more meaningful in hindsight and you will maybe want to give them another try. Until then you should hopefully be greatly entertained with the following episodes.
At least it worked for me. (3:4 through SAC1 at the moment of writing this)

You are 100% accurate. I started the show months ago and stopped after episode 4. Last night I finally decided to give it another shot, and I have now started the 2nd Gig (season 2). GitS SAC is by far one of the BEST animes I have EVER seen. I am kicking myself for not watching this years ago. I now own both sets physically and digitally because it is just so darn good. If you can watch the ENTIRE SAC anime and then say it's boring... you may just not like GitS at all or the story and concepts are just too advanced for you. Respectfully, of course... Lol.

My favorite episode was the 17th of Season 2, because Major kick the ass of some guys, and throws around a guy bigger than her .

Everything else is so boring.

It's not for everyone. It was boring to me at first until I understood the lore and story, then I didn't care and got super immersed.
