typo in "Animal Council" puzzle (SPOILER)

First of all I really enjoyed the Inherit the earth reference and started to think it could be the same universe or at least a tale invented in the same universe.

Anyway I had trouble figuring out the correct center row combination.
The text in the book says "the snake sat to his right"
Assuming HIS as the King, the puzzle require you to put the snake on HIS LEFT to be solved.
RIGHT from the player point of view, but that's not what the text says, actually.
