Chapter 1 walkthrough
So, I was going to create a simple as possible guide for this game, but I dont own it on steam and so it wont let me add it. So here:

NB: 1. photo fragments are a pointless collectable so grab them or don't.
2. Click on everything you can, you basically have to. If you don't and you're stuck, you probably didn't click on something enough.
3. Here's how you're going to remember what door in the hallways is what: suits of armour is the fireplace room with seats. room with green light = library. Room with tea table outside = kitchen. You need to go through the kitchen to get out the back. Memorise this.


Talk to Lady Victoria ('old woman') and the family lawyer, Andrew. Follow Angus upstairs. Look at Painting of grandfather Edward. Look at Red urn placed on side of table.

Go to hallway right of painting. Photo fragment below window.

Head for an obscured corridor found right to the painting. follow corrdior to your room. Butler waiting for you next to door to your room.

Go to fireplace, look at painting. Character realised his piece similar to castle tower.

Open suitcase, click everything, get everything. Look at wooden box on desk. Open to find candle holder and piece. Light candle. pick up pieces.

Go to wardrobe and get photo pieces. leave room.

Turn right to niche; photo fragment from small table. Continue down this path and go right. dumb waiter on the wall. Unlocked door found on the right side of the lift leads to the library. Lawyer in library; talk to and click everything in library. Look at desk with hutch; Margaret Gordon's desk. Go to bottom floor of library read lawyer documents, talk to him about key to study. Look at globe in middle.

Go into kitchen (tea table outside). Talk to gardiner at table and he'll leave. look at table and get cleaver. Go to other side of table and open draw to find wire. Leave kitchen and go back to top floor of library and try using cleaver and wire on desk. Look at everything in desk. Open and pick up everything. Toop draw has mysterious code and letter from your dad. There's a locked bit. on left side there is a combo lock. The code is 3618. Take key.

TRICKY BIT: hold left or right to shift to video of sides of desk.

Look at right side; snake carving. Click on head. Check left side of desk.

Take a look at the right side of the desk - you'll encounter a carved likeness of a snake. Click on the interactive point found on its head. Prompt will come up as to whether you want to click black or white. Answer: black, white, black, white, black, white, white, white, black, black, white, white, black, black, white, black. Take stuff in compartment. Get master Key. You can shift the parts around depending on the lock; you will get additional pieces throughout the game to add to it.

Exit doorway to main hall. go to double doors; this is the office. You will need to adjust master key. Copy jpg attached.

Open the door, check out desk, click everything. Bottom left draw has fake bottom. Document mentions family chronicles and shrine.

Go to bookshelf on right. Click everything. Move camera far left to see symbols. Press them in this order: 2 5 1. Castle model appears. Put your piece of the model in place.

I didn't realize to move the camera to the left, to see the symbols on the side. No wonder I had no idea what to do with the dial wheel, before that... Thanks!
