And I made some suggestions regarding your trouble with the controls that you posted at the bugs/issues report thread here: Link
I strongly suggest to play and solve this scene yourself using the offered help from the mentioned threads above, because after this scene a dialogue with the gardner that provides important parts of the story follows automatically.
Anyway... I downloaded your savegame, loaded it, played/solved the scene, created a savegame and uploaded it for you here: Link[s000.tinyupload.com]
Instead keep trying to position youself to hit the hot spot and keep pressing the hotspot activation key rather than mouse (if you use mouse and keyboard) whilst moving into position.
Thank you for helping me.
I really really did try very hard. I spent hours on this.
I hit the hot spot so mamy times you wouldn't believe but it never turned into the 1 (examine)
I always got one of them right (the woman getting beat) but the other two just were like unbelieveable
I did read the article . I think with me it partly has to do with the fact I can't move my hands on the keyboard fast enough to get away
The Q key constantly gets in the way and ruins everything. I cannot watch the keyboard and David at the same time so I have to watch David. As a result my hands VERY frequently accidentally hit Q since it is next to W and that ruins that attempt and I have to start over.
Are these parts of the story you speak of critical elements that I (as the player) will never get to access? In other words they are not jotted down after the dialogue?
Will these elements (which I assume are lost to me forever) affect my storyline differently from let's say another player?
But I still think the oringinal poster has a completely valid point. I died here AT LEAST 40 times just now myself. Would have never gotten past it without that YouTube video.
Throughout the game I have been picking up picture pieces. Is there a certain point in the game when I will be able to view all these pieces? Will there be an opportunity foe me (player) to attempt to assemble all the pieces together?

I hear character saying this key has yet to be finished. There are more pieces to assemble. I wish to know;:
Am I wasting my time attempting to unlock this desk with the current Master key or am I simply just not putting it together properly?
The photo pieces you collect throughout the game unlocks a couple of jigsaw puzzles available only from the "Extras" submenu of the main menu.
If you look at the upper master key part (the part without moveable pieces) you always get the comment that there are more pieces to assemble unless you've found and added the last piece (that is the case if there are 4 moveable pieces). The comment isn't related to the lock you're actually trying to open.
The screenshot shows that your master key already has 3 moveable parts. And that the lock you're trying to open also only needs these 3 moveable parts. So you only have to move the three parts into the right position. I really liked these master key puzzles, because they are all about thinking of the right orientation.
