Getting low FPS when entering new areas?

I'm running the game just fine on my GTX 1080/i7 5820k/32gb but whenever I enter new zones or in cutscenes I sometimes just get around 20 FPS. Anyone else got that problem?

How long do you have only 20fps? 1 sec? Or 20 sec? Sometimes I get Mirco-Stutters with my GTX780 but almost contantly I have 60 fps.

A few seconds maybe, not more than that so not a huge deal but kind of annoying especially in cutscenes.

I'm getting framerate drops from about 120fps to like 30fps, randomly, and I have a GTX 1080. I typically run literally everything on Ultra without a hitch. It's not your hardware, it's this game. It's extremely poorly optimized. If you read reviews for the console versions as well it seems these problems are across the board.

My hope is that they rushed this thing out the door (which is how it feels) and some patches are incoming soon

A bit late to the party but what worked for me was removing the vsync in nvidia control panel and setting the monitor to 60hz.
