FOB unit limit
Is this feature (you get penelty if too many units in an FOB) is new and come with Royal Marines DLC? Or I just played A11 too laet and missed this feature?

Also, can I incrase this limit somehow? With more FOB supply or build depot? Or something? Now I can only store 5 units (one of them is the mandantory mortar), it's pretty small.

I am getting the penalty too - it limits me to five FOB units. I too read about this being a new feature in Royal Marines, as I am probably going to pick it up. So I am as confused like you - this "new" feature already exists.

This is not a new feature.

I don't know what the point is, though. The penalty is small enough that I just ignore it, and I agree with the OP that a soft limit of five units seems ridiculous.

Yeah, it is very low... If you kill a lot TAL units with your small army it doesn't matter.

Peantly should be greater (for each uint you pay more?) or you have the limit of units and another limit for overusing the stadnart limit and penatly (i.e. standart limit is 6 units, but you could get up to 9 units and pay PPs for each over limit).

Still seems rather limiting given what I previously considered the optimal basing for an FOB: US/ANA Infantry, MRAP, Husky, Buffalo, and Special Forces trainer (not helped that there's a mandatory unit for every FOB, the mortar). Even in the end-game it's prudent to have several supply trucks in the place to resupply the artillery and field hospital.

Thing is, I don't actually get what the gameplay purpose of the penalty is. To incentivize what exactly? To build more FOBs and spread out forces more thinly over the map? To have more forces deployed outside FOBs? I'm confused by it.
The new feature was to prevent the housing of huge arnies in the FOB's, just not realistic
