While the Husky detection radius is indeed 2 tiles, placing it second in the formation will not clear IEDs in front of the leader. This begs the question as to why the Husky was given a 2-tile radius in the first place.
The husky works perfectly fine for me as second in the convoy. It clears mines in front of the lead MRAP with no issues. The issue is when the convoy ends its turns on a bend in the road.
