UN aid mechanic
I love delivering UN Aid. It's a little bit slower than just killing nearby taliban. But most of my games end up wtih 10+ trucks spamming aid on villages to convert them as soon as possible. Probably not the most efficient use of my game time, but it's what I do. It also gives me times to think about how the game mechanic could be.

What if instead of the +2 H&M per truck, delivering aid gives say +3 H&M per turn for 5 turns. This passive effect can be lost if the village suffers a militia intimidation (say they stole the supplies). This way one truck could get a bigger H&M influence, but you would have to be really cautious of the militia presence. The numbers might need some tweaking.

You could even start giving a H&M stacking penalty if the village doesn't receive more UN aid after they run out or get intimidated. This would still keep a good bit of truck aid micro alive throughout the game, but you could maybe use fewer trucks to hit up the villages instead of spamming 10+ on them one by one. Plus it's kinda silly rolling into a Taliban town and giving them 20 trucks worth of UN supplies on turn, and converting them instantly. This would turn aid into a "see we are the good guys, be a good village and we'll keep coming back" game.

What do you think?

Good point. I like to build fleet of trucks too, but currently it's a real pain to manage them one by one. Hope we can have the automatic convoy function in recent patches.

Yeah i'm interested in seeing how the convoy system will work. Right now I just basically move my fleet of trucks from FOB to FOB. (The FOBs should have a vehicle limit.) Rarely do I have trucks just out on the road, except for the very end of the game when losing 1 or 10 of them won't even matter.

Basically, if you can get 1 truck there, you can get 30 trucks there. And it doesn't make sense to cap out H&M from UN aid in one turn. So that is why I was looking for a H&M over time solution.

As people only need that much aid and spamming UN Trucks just looks silly, how about the same system as the FOB, You can stack 5 UN aid packages into a Village, each turn the village uses 1 package and increases it's H&M. Points awarded equal to the stack So: 5-4-3-2-1. To encourage keeping the aid at a high level. If Militia intimidate the Village they steal the aid to fill their pockets even more.
All good points, thanks !

First step is to get the convoy module out, busy testing it at the moment, looking good , but it impacts large areas of the code so going to test and tweak, should be out before end of this month, therefater we can reaccess the whole UN Aid delivery mechanism, but do agree it needs optimization, I was thinking maybe you could build a UN Store as an extention to the FOB and stockpile at the FOB and then deliver, makes more sense to me...
