H&M Issue...
So I'm doing a tutorial mission 3. And I've built several water towers, delivered several UN supply trucks, and visited several missions amidst attacking local baddies.... And yet, my score is stuck at 52.

Please advise?

PS: I've had a couple water towers attacked, and this did not decrease my H&M below 52.

There are a large number factors effecting the HM of villages, but by far the biggest impact is that of the Militia intimidating the locals.

Waterworks only decrease HM when damaged, so ensure you fix them asap, when fixed they generate Political points.

Also truck UN aid to villages, very effective in lifting the HM score.

Thats my whole concern. I'm not seeing any visible impact from the UN supplies.. and only PP from the waterworks..
When a truck delivers aid to a village, it does a check on the village HM, so if you truck enough aid to the village the flag will change , but if you only send aid gradually you won't see a direct impact , remember the UN aid delivery add 2 HM to one of the villages. The b st way is to ke p sending to a village until,the flag changes.
Also killing enemy forces has a direct impact on HM

Ok, that clarifies a little bit. But, just so I don't misunderstand... 1 UN truck = 2 H&M, yes? Because if so, I'm not getting that... unless its 2 points when the village is saturated with trucks?

On a side note... at some point in tutorial 3 the tutorial cards disappear and you're on your own to get 55 H&M... it would be nice if those stuck around as references.
Remember 1 truck raises only one villages HM, and the overall score HM score you see is the average across all ten villages. So don't expect dramatic increases to your HM score, it's a gradual process.

Fair point on the tutorial, just trying to gradually introduce the game concepts, might even suggest after completing the cards to move onto,the next mission in the sequence, just left the gate open for people who would like to play to,complete after starting to assist in the learning

Ooooooooh ok. I'm sorry. That makes more sense. In my defense, a) I have a terrible migraine... but b) V65 things had a more direct impact... where as you're saying this is a more grainular and holistic interpetation of the big picture? Would that be correct?

Yeah, and additionally where this game is going. For example, future content, big fixes, new features, etc?
The high level plan is to do two DLCs , British Army and US Marines , then possibly NATO.

Thereafter an adaption for the Angola/South Africa COIN war , and we will definitely be doing the Sovietbinvasion of Afghanistan.

That should keep us rather busy for the immediate future :)

I have heard this issue a couple times now, not knowing the hearts & minds score in villages. Wouldn't it be very useful if we could see what this score was in each village? Is there a reason you don't show it?

Also - someone posted in the Slitherine forums that in mission 7 one of the victory conditions is to get the village H&M score to 55. How can we complete this if we don't know what the score is in each village?

This is counterinsyrgency warfare and knowing people's hearts and minds is exactly the challenge, quantifying it would turn this game into a maths challenge, by knowing the approximate HM state of the village (flags) you ale the decisions, also remember the flag only updates when the village is visited or aid us delivered, so you might see a US flag but in reality they are not so friendly anymore after a few turns of neglect, just like in the real world :)

The objective should actually turn green upon reaching the 55, will fix
