Lucky Rainbow Fish

Does anyone know of a spot where it's guaranteed to appear? I've tried fishing at the spot mentioned in this thread: http://steamcommunity.com/app/580200/discussions/2/1458455461473902362/ but I've only found other lucky fish.

The spot I mentioned in that thread is the spot for them. In my guide you will find some extra information about how to differentiate them from other Lucky Fishes.

I guess I'll have to try again after I finish finding all the cats. I gave up after fishing for several days.

If you know how they look in the water then it is easier to catch them, I have a description in my guide, but when it is needed I can also give a screen, I didn't add them, because that felt like too many screens.

In case anyone wonders in the future, far as Ive found the only requirement is to be fishing in salt water, and that it is very rare, so dont get discouraged, took me about 3-4 days of fishing in game to find a single one.

Please note that the type of fish you see is influenced by time of day. Fishing at midnight does not get the same mix as fishing at midday.

Mh, I catch lucky rainbow fish off the end of the pier behind the trader at the East Docks - it shows up pretty often.

If you don't know what its shadow looks like, it's a big fish, rounded body type, and the tail looks like there is a crescent shape taken out of it. It is also noticeably faster than others like it - I believe both lucky silver and lucky gold have the same shape/crescent in the tail, but are slower.
