What does a star mean on the map?

What is the gold star with the blue circle around it mean on the map? Its driving me nuts; its the only one I can't figure out.

I THINK they are areas you can collect less common materials, such as coal from mining etc.

I've been wondering the same thing. In some cases, it's teleportation circles. In others, it just seems to be a point of interest. But I'm not seeing any consistency?

Not always. For example there is one pretty close to the starting farm that seems to just point to a cave. No teleport in or above the cave.

There is a teleport inside the cave, behind one of the wooden panels in the water.

Sorry this is kinda late but I think they meant the cave that has the loopy pigtails in it that’s near the Kozi’s lovely creatures quest. I tried looking around the star symbol on the map but couldn’t find anything

If anyone else comes across this, they are teleports. This one is on top of the cave, not in it.

Where exactly? Because I've scoured the entire top of the cave and found no teleporter, at least when talking about the one west of the first farm on the grasslands
