The Great Beard-Off Quest Not Working

Anyone else having the problem where the quest does not recognize that there are ghostfish in the the backpack? I've fished up 2, and the quest tells my I have none so I can't make the soup

My two cents: sometimes when I have made a garden plot on my farm I take seeds out of storage but I cannot plant them even though there are clearly enough in my backpack, they do not show up in the top left. When I walk away or log out and return later, it works fine.

Hello Tart Wand, I'm sorry, I don't know how to send a screen shot. I tried the print screen in the game, but as soon as I exited the game, I could not paste. It's ok, I suppose I will just skip the quest.

If you have the game on steam and the Enable steam overlay clicked for the game. F12 will take screenshots and show them on your game in steam. Open the screenshots to disk, you can copy their location and put them online.

Eta. I completed that quest by buying the fish at a trader.

Can i just confirm you have crafted the ghost fish stew (in crafting menu), and not just caught the ghost fish?

Having a problem with this quest as well, though I'm at the point where she has the beard - she just won't let me report in. It's been literally months in game but she keeps telling me to come back after sunrise. I've even sat next to her fishing all night and turned around to report just as the sun came up, no dice.

yeah - there was a bug there - it will be fixed in the next update.

Sorry all, I feel really dumb about this, but I was just expecting the ghostfish stew recipe to pop up under the cooking tab when I had the fish, turns it is under wayfarer crafting tab. I completed the quest tonight. Thank you for all that responded.

Thought I had ghost fish in my backpack, seems I don't.... but the freshwater pond I could fish it from is frozen, and there doesn't seem to be another freshwater source. The area is highlighted in a blue circle on the HUD map..... WHY????
