You might be interested in the "Build Build Build" mode which doesn't have any specific goals for you to do and lasts 1,000 in-game years (which works out to be very long!). You will periodically get complaints/council missions, but it is mostly to keep things interesting as that mode can last a very long time. You can opt to play against no AI and simply build up your town as you see fit.

You can also try the new (to this version) "War" mode which disables complaints and council missions entirely. However, you do need to have at least one enemy team, but you can tweak their build speed in the options menu to slow them down to a turtle's pace... so to speak. :)

As you build more buildings you will unlock them to place in the "Designer" mode which is essentially a mode that lets you place buildings for each of the teams (or just yourself!) before you begin playing.

We do have a playable demo, but it is sorely in need of a fresh coat of paint as it is lacking many of the fixes which we've implemented since the game's release. The update for that is planned for after the release of the missions. If you do try the current demo please keep this in mind.

Build Build Build mode is a scenario in the main portion of the game. To access it click either of the areas outlined in red in this image: https://imgur.com/a/neP64sw

You can also use the mouse-wheel to cycle back and forth.
