Doesn't save progress
This game regularly doesn't save my progress. It's happened several times where I play for a few hours, quit, and then start it up the next day and it's like I didn't even play the last few hours. It also forgets my settings and sometimes starts in windowed mode at 640x480, which I have never set it to. I can forgive it for not being as good as everyone expected, but the way this game handles saves is completely stupid.

it's the checkpoints that save. meaning, if you die before proceeding to the next checkpoint, you'll go right back to the beginning of the current checkpoint

I played through more than 10 checkpoints. It didn't save any of them.

that's strange. I've finished my 2nd Insane Difficulty run a couple of months ago and died aplenty. And whenever I died at a current checkpoint before I could reach the next one, I just re-spawned at the beginning of the current one.


But my suggestion is, if you're planning on saving, i'd do it at the beginning of the next chapter, because the game auto-saves whenever you start the next chapter.

Ugh, it's still doing this. Very frustrating since I'm trying to beat it on insane. I had to do titty city, first octaking battle and clarifier p2 three times each. I'm at the point where I'm just exiting the game after each checkpoint so I don't have to redo too much if it doesn't save. I have noticed that when it doesn't save the steam icon in the lower right doesn't change to say synchronizing after I exit.

Lol, I kicked the Octaking's ass easily during my 1st Insane Difficulty, so he's not all that hard if you know how to deal with him and the OctaBrains he spawns
