Cant open game

Whenever I hit play it says its running but it just stops. The game doesn't even open. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Solution :
Disable steam-settings-cloud ,
then
delete from folder E:\Steam\userdata\46506878\57900\remote
the files:
system.ini and user.ini
then right click duke in steam - installerd files - verify game cache

For me steam is installed on E:.... check where is your steam installed and there is the folder.... mabe is C: or D:...
X:\Steam\userdata\here you will have another number\57900\remote

\57900\remote
then check the game files
