Then you should be playing hardcore games!
Now... I say all this to be helpful to you Prometheus because I always help fellow players with technical problems if I know the answer, but... as a self-professed hardcore gamer you should already know basic system tweaking like this. I'll grant you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you're a hardcore gamer but not yet a hardcore PC gamer? If you're just graduating over from consoles, then welcome to the real gaming platform. It only gets better from here. If not and you've been on the PC for a while... well, either way, you'll need to learn a lot more about how your PC works to get the maximum enjoyment out of whatever you choose to play. There are plenty of tweak guides around. I'd recommend visiting sites like Guru3d, [H]ardOCP, and Tom's Hardware. Learn how to get the most out of your machine, then you can get the most out of your games.
Also... hi there Butane! Always good to see a fellow old-school Quaker. It makes me wonder if we've ever crossed railguns in the past.
But take the blue pill next time
I tried windowed mode and it makes a huge difference.. For some reason 60fps is not that smooth for this game.
EDIT: Found a trick. Pressing the turbo button on my monitor increases refresh rate to 120 and then 144. The game suns at 72fps on 5k resolution and even that makes a huge difference.
