You don't need more than 60 for this. It's a slow paced game :steammocking:

@ Prometheus: Duke can go higher than 60FPS. I'm been getting 75 FPS with vsync enabled since the game was released. What you have to do is set your desktop resolution to what you're wanting to play Duke at, and then set the refresh rate to whatever you're wanting your FPS to max out at. After that, switch back to whatever desktop resolution you normally use. Then when you play Duke it should keep the same refresh rate you had set when your desktop was set to that resolution. If you don't do this then Duke is just going to use whatever the default refresh rate Windows provides at that resolution. This is a common behavior with most modern games.

Now... I say all this to be helpful to you Prometheus because I always help fellow players with technical problems if I know the answer, but... as a self-professed hardcore gamer you should already know basic system tweaking like this. I'll grant you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you're a hardcore gamer but not yet a hardcore PC gamer? If you're just graduating over from consoles, then welcome to the real gaming platform. It only gets better from here. If not and you've been on the PC for a while... well, either way, you'll need to learn a lot more about how your PC works to get the maximum enjoyment out of whatever you choose to play. There are plenty of tweak guides around. I'd recommend visiting sites like Guru3d, [H]ardOCP, and Tom's Hardware. Learn how to get the most out of your machine, then you can get the most out of your games.

Also... hi there Butane! Always good to see a fellow old-school Quaker. It makes me wonder if we've ever crossed railguns in the past.

I noticed that in Campaing single player i do more than 130 fps, instead in multiplayer the limit of fps are 60....any idea?

THX... FPS Cap only in multiplayer, which is capped at 60 FPS. The singleplayer is uncapped.

My fps is capped at 60 when run in fullscreen mode and the game opens on a 60hz screen. Is there a trick to force the game to use a 144hz screen?

I tried windowed mode and it makes a huge difference.. For some reason 60fps is not that smooth for this game.

EDIT: Found a trick. Pressing the turbo button on my monitor increases refresh rate to 120 and then 144. The game suns at 72fps on 5k resolution and even that makes a huge difference.
