Definition of "sequel" according to you?
I'm just wondering about this. The creator said that there will be another Demonheart-themed game, a most likely direct sequel, right?
But I wonder what she means with that.. Do we play as Bright again with our continued romance with Brash/Raze/Ari? Or is it just with another main character where we do see Brash/Ari/Raze but as side-characters? will the story be about the apocalyps/wingless demon?

Because in every game that I've played, their definition of sequel are different. What do you guys think?~

Considering that part of the modules was set in Ravage and had a lot to do with the Apocalypse and the Wingless One... Also you can tell Brash that you'd like to meet him in Ravage if you decide to rendevouz with him somewhere...

The endings of the first game leave a lot of space for future developments, that's for sure. If you choose to stay with "Raze" in Inferno then you might end up in Ravage in the future, if you travel with Ari then you might go anywhere, Ravage included, if you rendezvous with Brash you can tell him to meet in Ravage and even if you don't, you might end up meeting there regardless.

I definitely enjoy the introduction of the Apocalypse and the Wingless One, as they played a prominent role in the original modules and I'm looking forward to the sequel, whenever it might be.

Personally I hope to keep playing as Bright, maybe with an import save system or with a few dialogue options defining who you were and what happened at the end of the last chapter. But it could be that we'd get to play as another demonheart and meet Bright along the way... Maybe as Love herself?

I may or may not be a tad too attached to the original modules...

Well, I always assumed the sequel would pick up were we left it at the end of this game. I would say seven days after, so it would fit every Bright regardless of the route.

So, what I am hoping to is to have a save import system and continue as our Bright.

I think in Ari's ending it's also mentioned they're on the way to Ravage

What about a storyline to answer the question how Bright can get immortal. It is said in the story a demonheart can die of an old age and a demonspawn can live forever. I don't want her to die and leave Raze alone.

I am honestly hoping it continues with Bright especially how all the "good" ends with these characters all make it seem like the beginning not a closure. Also it all seems like it's going to lead to Ravage where it began in the module in part 2.

Honestly even though they were never finished, and understandably so since they were dropped to make the visual novel instead, I'm tempted to go back and play the modules. NWN1 recently had an Enhanced Edition drop that go rid of some of the annoying features I hated, and most mods that I've seen so far are backwards compatible. Even the ones with advanced scripting like ADWR's. It'll be something nice to tide me over while I still reel over the ending.

*curses for the umpteenth time that there's no full Let's Play of the original mods, and all I know is what I've picked up from old forums and a 10 minute video*

I too hope for a sequel that picks up from Bright's perspective. It's her story and relationships that I'm invested in.

(Please someone spoil for me who Love is now)

My question is... Ari dies in some endings. I've only played once but Dorius killed her. So how would that work in the sequel?! I mean having her alive in one playthrough and dead in another would take A LOT of work and there would be some big changes. I don't really understand how it'd happen.

Many games where if a character leaves or dies you usually just end up missing dialogue or a specific scene/quest. It's not impossible. It would only be bad if You did love Ari and Dorius killed her like uhhh welp . Also that's the beauty of a choice game. Because of your choice so and so left, died, or you never even met. It branches out to so many different possibilities. Not everyone will have the same outcomes.

I've already said this in the Raze path thread, but I'm curious what the RC will do about Raze's *cough* Dorius' *cough* role in the sequel since I count four different states you can leave him in. Of course, that may matter less if we have a MC that isn't Bright, and could therefore have Raze be a bit less variant in how he interacts with the new MC.
I suppose it all depends on how much of a role all the cast would have in the sequel.

I feel like whoever you ended up with or didn't, personality, and then how things ended up will determine the start of the second game. Like I honestly feel like it wouldnt make sense to start the game as a new character. Too much getting introduced to have the new character have like a quick summary of things versus Bright who had experienced everything just to follow up where she left off.

I just finished replaying the module prelude annnnnnd... (Secondary warning, again there are spoilers for the modules below.) I'm even more assured at my unease over the whole Demonspawn situation... Lamb/Crown had to cut a lot out when she made the visual novel for time's sake, but from what I can tell the basic plot remains the same. However meeting with Thayn and re-confirming the Demonhearts /can/ get pregnant but /only/ to birth the Wingless One... Well... I'm excited to see what Lamb/Crown keeps going forward.

It also makes me more sure that Bright is who we'll be continuing with, as in every ending where she remains alive the variables aren't /too/ wild to account for with some clever writing. (Dragon Age and Mass Effect have worked with far worse circumstances.) It also doesn't make too much sense narratively to jump ship at this point either. Especially since half the endings feel like 'to be continued' baits.

I hope It won't be to much work to continue all different kind of storylines/endings in a sequel.
Ari romance/ Brash romance. Who is dead/alive?
What about the small Raze and adult Raze and the apocalypse at the end of the game? Is adult Raze still an ally or do you freed the small Raze?
Adult Raze romance and the question how to stop your aging to live forever with him.

i really hope we continue with bright, i loved this story so much and all the characters made me want more, i've yet to get brash's ending, but so far my fave is raze's ending, i hope i get to pick up from there :)

You can pick up the original Neverwinter Nights Diamond edition pretty easily on GOG, it's very cheap when it's on sale. There's also NWN: Enhanced Edition here on Steam, but that's a tad more expensive. Downloading the modules themselves is easy enough, but be prepared for some serious mature/trigger content at times :p

In the original storyline Thayn was in the same prison as you were, in Feline, and you could hear him calling out to a certain "Love". Near the end of the modules there was a cutscene with her, as well, and her full name was Love Jayden (presumably Rose's sister?). She was an Hunter like Lord Mace, meaning she was constantly looking around for new hearts to devour to improve her powers.
