But now it's clear that he's hiding something and given his fixation with the two witches who tortured a demonspawn in El'shei I'm afraid that that theory that popped up some time ago might have hit the mark. So his trust issues with Bright would be there because he just doesn't believe she trusts him so completely when he's lying about his identity, and he's afraid she'll leave him once she finds out the truth.
In any case he can be as evil as he likes for my Bright... He'd still dissect any other human instead of her and that's a declaration of love if I've ever seen one lol
That would also explain why he seems to hate it when Bright says the name "Dorius". He justifies it by saying that demonspawn hate each other, but I remember some bit saying that Dorius in particular started hating on his name because it reminded him of how he'd been tortured. He also interrogates both Bright and Ari about that book, again using the excuse that he doesn't want humans to have a manual on how to torture his kind, but probably the truth is that the book contains useful hints on how a demonspawn grows up.
Besides I think he's jealous of the real Raze since he had a mother who loved him instead of a kidnapped peasant girl sacrificed by two witches. He's also afraid that Bright will abandon him once she discovers the truth. Maybe I'm reading too much into it but I think he tried to replace the real Raze so he could have someone who could at least try to love him unconditionally, since he never knew love.
The more we go on the more that theory seems to be legit lol
Oooh the plot thickens!
I also like VN's that try to subvert the traditional tactic of just "saying what this character wants to hear." Being nice to him as Saint!Bright while still denying any of his suggestions on what to do got him ranting about how I always seemed so happy to hear from him and while I needed better lying skills, I wasn't to practice on him. My Evil!Bright, who has no such moral compunctions and said everything she'd thought he want to hear, got a bit about how she needed to downplay her lies.
And yeah, I'm pretty convinced now that this 'Raze' isn't Orchid's son, and the real Orchid's son is locked up by 'Raze.' Too many odd little things add up to that now, such as bits of Raze's dialogue in how he's coming to respect Orchid and what she tried to do. Heck, even the Steam store page supports this , as Brash and Ari are identified by name in the description yet 'Raze'... isn't. Just something along the lines of "infernal patron" or "???" beneath his character portrait.
I suspect that getting so close to Bright wasn't part of his plan, and it was probably just meant as a jealous demonspawn's way of torturing Orchid's son. Kind of a "Haha, removing your only hope of an outside ally." But then 'Raze' DID get attached, so now we have him holding her heart hostage so she can't leave once she finds out.
I like Raze, he's funny and watching him get upset when you refuse to kill every living thing is really amusing... but, Brash. Those soft moments, man... THE SHIRT. Also, his scene with Bright in the tower... so hot. SO. HOT.
Raze is always telling Bright to calm down. Man, my girl is thirsty. It's funny how it's the other way around with the two men. With Brash he's always taking every single opportunity for innuendos and he gets really jealous... with Raze is Bright the one trying to seduce him and getting jealous lol
Yes, it does. I made an evil route to romance Raze, which I failed miserable because I am full for Brash. I did kill Mark, and in the love confession on chapter 4, what he said was "my beautiful little murderer, I would have cover for all of your crimes". So yeah, it does affect.
For sure! Bright gets that option "I can't make any promises when it comes to Brash/Brash's heart" so I think we will get the chance to get his heart and either keep it and enslave him, eat it and become more powerful, simply destroy it, or give it back to him.
Brash is the man. He loves you whether you are a murderous biach or a innocent and nice girl who wouldn't kill a fly. Raze may like you being good, but... meh, he's clearly annoyed by Bright's goodness. Evil!Bright and Raze all the way.
Poor Raze, the number of people in a thread named after him confessing they like Brash better.
I mean, he's probably lying about darn near everything and is torturing the real Raze out of jealousy. But still, that's cold. /s
But have you heard Brash's voice?! I don't know who's the voice actor, but his voice makes me weak. "Here, kitty, kitty..." And I was sold for life.
Spoilers! I don’t know how to hide text, so beware of spoilers!
I like Raze better than Brash who always put me on edge. Raze maybe a liar and a manipulator, but at least he talks and listens to Bright—until the end of chapter 4 when he steals her heart. He may not understand good!Bright or like her actions, but he does let her do what she wants most the time (not that he’ll help her). One commentor mentioned Raze seemed annoyed by good Bright and that may be true, but I think the reason for that is because everyone has been kicking Bright around from day 1 and he wants her to kick back. Think about it; Orcid lied to her and practically condemned her, Mark—her fiancee—left her to rot in a cell, her whole village sentenced her to death when she did nothing wrong, she’s been manipulated by her Lord, Fisher tried to kill her, and Brash has made several advances on her and eventually betrayed her to a witch who literally tore out her heart. In his eyes her goodness hasn’t done anything but make her easy to use and has placed her in countless danger. In a way, I think he’s worried about her.
