welcome back to conquest all! :D i am navy3001 one that will never give up hope for conquest! i talked to the dev and there are is going to be a litte stuff you may want to know

Incase conquest is giving you problems on windows 10 here is a way to fix it (this will be changed and posably removed when it releses on steam but im sure that the ini fix is fixed for the steam verson of conquest!)

PLAYING ON WINDOWS 8/10

there is currently a sound problem with windows 10/8..what i did to fix it was reload the game and it started working for me i know its not much of a fix but hopefuly soon we can find a better one!

so is the impossable AI to easy for you? not really much of a challange? or do you think 100 command points is to little? well i have a great thing for you! Conquest verson 1.07! this lets you fight aganced the Nightmare AI! (im not kidding..its a nightmare i have played conquest since it came out and i still can not defeat it!)

AND! you can have up to 300 command points!

playing agnaced the AI is fun and the nightmare AI is a pain to deal with..but..what if you want to play with your friends over the web?

what if you want to surivie 3 nightmare AI with 5 friends in a 16 map battle? i know i would like to do that! (hint hint ;P) that is were hamachi comes in!


Logmein hamachi is a free tool that lets us play Conquest on line once more! (unless you want to usee Game ranger but that place is almost always empty of the game though being on steam it might not..hm..i'll show how to use gameranger on conquest as well)

conquest cannot run on this graphic card fix!

you have to right click game exe then go to propierties and choose compatibility with win xp sp2 or above up to win 7

Well, that's OK. It still looks pretty cool anyway.

Also, a tip for everyone on the backgrounds. If you don't like how they look at higher resolutions (and they are pretty blurry) you can actually move the slider all the way down and essentially turn them off.

Then you just have the blackness of space as your backgrounds...

ya it is fun but i can never get my head around the armor system he has in that game >.< had a dread attacking a monolith and it hardly did any damage..fully upgraded as well

Yes he said he did but in gameranger when he hosts the game description have demo in brackets at the end and if i host he can not join.
so ive told he to reinstall and we will try again but the last problem we have had is when me and another freind do host, join and launch the player that joins can not give orders to units but still has screen movement and can interact with the hud.
have you even incounterd this? and would you be will to maybe set up a time where you and i could play and see if we could get it working?

Can we still use the old unit editor from back in the day on this (loved making the laser race*forgot name* ships fire super fast)? i know i got it stashed somewhere on an old hard drive...

unit editer? what do you mean?

There was a unit editor back when the game came out. extract the files, then open them up in a text editor and mod how much shields, hp, wep fire speed, etc.

the modding community has done so much with the modding tools were you can do more then just change stats you can add in whole new game play elements! here are the mod tools
