welcome back to conquest all! :D i am navy3001 one that will never give up hope for conquest! i talked to the dev and there are is going to be a litte stuff you may want to know

Incase conquest is giving you problems on windows 10 here is a way to fix it (this will be changed and posably removed when it releses on steam but im sure that the ini fix is fixed for the steam verson of conquest!)

PLAYING ON WINDOWS 8/10

there is currently a sound problem with windows 10/8..what i did to fix it was reload the game and it started working for me i know its not much of a fix but hopefuly soon we can find a better one!

so is the impossable AI to easy for you? not really much of a challange? or do you think 100 command points is to little? well i have a great thing for you! Conquest verson 1.07! this lets you fight aganced the Nightmare AI! (im not kidding..its a nightmare i have played conquest since it came out and i still can not defeat it!)

AND! you can have up to 300 command points!

playing agnaced the AI is fun and the nightmare AI is a pain to deal with..but..what if you want to play with your friends over the web?

what if you want to surivie 3 nightmare AI with 5 friends in a 16 map battle? i know i would like to do that! (hint hint ;P) that is were hamachi comes in!


Logmein hamachi is a free tool that lets us play Conquest on line once more! (unless you want to usee Game ranger but that place is almost always empty of the game though being on steam it might not..hm..i'll show how to use gameranger on conquest as well)

conquest cannot run on this graphic card fix!

you have to right click game exe then go to propierties and choose compatibility with win xp sp2 or above up to win 7

Whilst I myself (and others no doubt) apprieciate you speaking on his behalf Navy3001. I would like to see the dev make an appearence on these forums and answer questions relating to the game directly.

Some things are just better from the horses mouth really.

Oh yeah, no harm in knowing it. I can tell you're a conquest fantatic. No harm in that. But this game would do better amongst those who may not have played it (because they missed it, were too young or not even born at the time).. if the dev had a prescence here.

Since you're on speaking terms, he could do with guilding you up to at least be a moderator of this community forum. As you may have seen, some devs/publishers do this with their marketing guys or highly trusted community members (Their name turns a dark orange).. It would just add to your credibility a little than just appearing to us as an average Joe like the rest of us, but has all the answers. People are then more likely to take notice.

i would love if he made me an moderator! that would be a dream come true for me :P "Moderator of Conquest Steam Fourms" love the sound of that! but its all up to the dev if he wants me to be one or not :P

Don't ask, you don't get. You might as well try. You seem to be in a great position to do so, and your passion to keep this franchise open to the masses isn't anywhere in doubt.

I've been on speaking terms with Westwood, EA & ex Petroglyph devs under the Command & Conquer Community banner (I've even met Joe "Kane" Kucan himself) when I was a co-webby at CNCNZ.com ... I know a legit passionate community member when I see one.

he said i can be a mod :D and he also said that the ini fix should be automadic so i think he has fixed it

i remember playing the demo for this on the old family windows 98 machine way back years and years ago. good stuff. i already own this on gog and i can happily tell you that this game is worth your time and money.

Great game.
Had this on GOG for years and its really great and pretty unique even now over a decade later.
Anybody who enjoys Sins of a Solar Empire will love this for sure though it does play like a more traditional RTS but you play over multiple systems at once.
About time it came to Steam hope it sells by the boat load and we get a sequel, hint hint :)

funfact - there is a demo for the 2nt game the dev said it has a lot done but due to not enouth money he was not able to finish it.. so maybe he will be able to finish it with steams income :P

P.S someone did take the demo and made it playable with free battle with all 4 factions working but there are glitches and crashes here and there...
