Will Not Load Into Oculus
Unlike my other vr games bought through steam, GORN simply loads a screen of the game onto my desktop but doesnt load it using the oculus software. Other games load just fine. Any suggestions? I've tried restarting and reinstalling. I dont use steam vr because it doesnt register my oculus. Would be great to fix this, doesnt make sense others can play this but I cant!

You dont use SteamVR? How does the other VR games you have on Steam deal with not using SteamVR?

Your problem is most likely with the SteamVR not detecting your Oculus. Pretty sure there are other Steam VR games that wont work without SteamVR.

Thanks for the response. For whatever reason when I load a game up from steam it automatically brings up Oculus. I imagine they have that hardcoded to do so. I will work on getting steam vr to work with my Oculus bc right now it gives me all sorts of errors when I try to run it.

Yes, if you got the Rift it uses Oculus for VR. If you close Oculus you cant run SteamVR.

Just bought this game today to play with my cv1. No problem at all.

The solution ended up being more complex than any guide I had found online. I needed to Setup Steam VR with my Oculus but I was receiving various error codes (306, 308, 400) when trying to detect it. From my understanding, this happens when you are on a laptop or a pc using an onboard graphics card separate from an NVidia card. My laptop (a 2016 Razer Blade) connected to the intelhd graphics card no matter what i did. So my solution was to bring up Nvidia Control panel and under 3d settings, set the global standards to use both steam and oculus with my 1060 card. What a nightmare.

I had one of those error codes once where I could not play SteamVR, seems it was because I had used my NOLO VR and to get Oculus working again I had to try quite a few things as well. I found some thread with several people posting several solutions to the 308 error I think it was and one of those finally helped me as well.
alright bud in order to get steam to show up on the oculus link if ur runnin a quest u have to download an ap called OTT. do a google searc for the oculus tray tool it pops right up. after u install it enable link n run the tray tool. go down to advanced on the side menu then click on the options and ur see add steam vr. click it. actually im kinda stuck on a tweak fix so i enable all the options it just adds the diffrent stuff u sideload. anyway after that u can also go back to the advanced menu and link over all of ur steam games to the oculus rift home and the quest home will now have the steam vr link. plus if u surf the tray tool theres access to all the main functions and debugs for the link and quest. helps to fine tune ur rig. definatly worth doing ur homework on and getting into if ur a serious immersion gamer. good luck
