Constant stutter every 1-2 seconds on PC: Fix inside
System: i7 7770, 3070 latest drivers, 16 gig ram

While playing the game there is a constant stutter every 1-2 seconds. You can easily see this by standing in place and slowly rotating the camera around the player.

I've tried lowering every setting to its bare minimum, as well as disabling in-game vsync and enabling it Nvidia CP, using DXTory and RTSS to limit the frame rate to 60, and many other fixes. I also killed all oculus processes as per the advice in a thread on here, as well as limiting the game to 55 fps and relying on my monitor's VRR/Gsync to smooth it out. Nothing gets rid of this stutter.

Also, the game never hits 60 fps according to both DXtory and RTSS. It is always running at 58-59 fps.

After a lot of googling and trial and error I finally fixed this.

First, download this and copy the files into your install directory:

https://gitlab.com/Kaldaien/SpecialK/-/tags/lcr_limiter

Enable Vsync in the Nvidia control panel
Load the game and make sure Vsync is disabled in the in-game menu
Press ALT-ENTER to enable the multithread fixes.

Now the game is pretty much a solid 60 fps with no intermittent or load stuttering.

This fix worked for me. However, it didn't work at first. After doing all of these steps, if stuttering still occurs, try to also set the priority of the game to Realtime in task manager. All of the settings listed by FlyinJ and setting the priority to Realtime was the fix for me. Hope this works for you. Thank you FlyinJ for the fix!

Now, I just be playing LEGO GTA

Go to the gui by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Backspace, then go to "On Screen Display (OSD)" and turn off everything under "Basic Monitoring"

This fixed it for me as well. Such a simple solution.

Would this work with any game?
