Green Bar and Red/Green Lines in Cutscenes
I bought this game a couple of days ago for my daughter and she is having an issue in the cutscenes where there is a green bar at the bottom of the screen and there are red/green lines throughout the video. The color is also very unsaturated (like an old time newsreel).

I thought this might be a codec issue so I installed an updated codec pack and it didn't help. The issue is *only* during the cutscenes, all of the rest of the game plays flawlessly so far.

I am having the same issue

Thanks for the post @Prof. Blargenth -- so far I have not resolved this on her computer. I got a good deal on the PS4 version and we've been playing that.

In terms of her machine, it's an HP Envy x360 with AMD CPU and Radeon VegaM graphics if that help debug.

I'm having the same problem, my system has an AMD Ryzen with Vega, with up to date drivers; game itself runs great but the pre-rendered cutscenes playback just like True Lienju of Steel's screenshot.

Is there an official support site for this game? Steam directed me to a warner brother's site but I couldn't even find Lego City: Undercover listed there anywhere under support, no sign of how to report this issue.

I've also submitted a report to AMD to see if it might be a driver related issue, since the common thread here seems to be Vega graphics.

Same problem here.
Vega LC Windows 10 pro 64bit.

Been playing this game for ages and right before I finished it I started having the same issue. At first I thought it may have been part of the game but all the remaining cut scenes had the same issue. This doesn't happen during game play, not sure why this has developed out of no where. My graphics card is also a Vega 56.

How long ago did you start playing? If the issue is new for you, and you definitely didn't experience it before, then it might be a glitch specific to a recent driver version?

Not exactly sure but I would say at least 2 years ago. I agree, quite possibly a driver issue. I had been playing for an hour and all was fine then on one cut scene I had the issue and every one from there.

Vega 56, having same problems

As a curiosity, I am wondering if anyone has tried this in the same configuration but under Linux with Proton. Could this be related to Windows drivers versus Linux drivers.

anyone have a fix for this yet?
Same, my system is a 3700x, 32gb ddr4-3000 and an rx 5700.
Same on RX 5700 XT. Here's the thing, we all know how Lego games work: if it's not fixed at launch, it will never be fixed, so don't hold your breath. Game works fine on Xbox, which is also AMD graphics, so the problem might be specific to Vega and RDNA, new hardware media encoders, etc. Everyone report to AMD and something might happen, just like they fixed the issue with Ryzen and Max Payne, which was connected to jpg compression, ie. media encoder issue as well. And then please report back here, thank you very much.

I'll be waiting right here.
So did anyone find a fix for this issue? Because it is really annoying to see green and red bars across the screen every time a cutscene plays. I would appreciate any help in solving this issue, thanks!
Well, according to a "recent" AMD drivers change log, they fixed "MJPEG encoding issues", ie. green bars and red tint; AMD was referring to issues with Windows Media Player, though. I guess the fix partially affected this game as well: I have noticed the red tint gone and the green bars less often (I did not try each and every movie, though, but definitely solved for "some" of them). No idea why AMD cannot fix this properly, ie. for all the movies. Anyway, if your AMD drivers are older than 20.2.1, maybe update for a partial improvement? And, again, write to AMD to fix the rest of it. ;-) Cheers!
