PS4 Controller Issue

Trying to use my PS4 controller to play. Soon as I press any button it opens menu with all of "Player 2" config flashing red "No Input". I am unable to play single player with PS4 controller unless I use my 2nd PS4 controller and load 2nd player in.

I have tried multiple controller configs within Steam controller settings. I have tried setting 2nd player controls to a 2nd controller and keyboard; then starting game and not touching those 2nd controls but soon as I press a button on my primary controller I just get the controller config screen with "No Input" flashing red for player 2.

I have noticed a similar issue that I never got around to solving with Lego Worlds. Reguardless of button pressed in that game on PS4 controller it always dropped in the 2nd player.

Any ideas?

Still unable to play single player. Press any button and it just says Player 2 inputs not assigned, I set Player 2 as keyboard then "Drop out" player 2 and same thing happens. Unplayable!

I play with my PS4 controller just fine, albeit I'm using ScpToolkit so it emulates as an Xbox controller, makes it so the controller works with pretty much anything since devs love to only support Xbox controllers.

I wanted to get away from using 3rd party emulators with PS4 controllers being supported on Steam now. But looks like I may have to go that route.

Use Steam Big Picture Mode and add your PS4 controller that way. Not many issues here.

*edit: oops it looks like you did try big picture. Maybe try readding your controllers in Windows bluetooth settings.

5 years late but by any chance did you ever find a solution to this. same thing happening to me in 2022
