Can't even start the game, any fixes?

I click Play, it does the Preparing to Launch window, and then nothing.

Some people have that problem with our game as well. Go into steamapps/common/LEGO City Undercover/_CommonRedist/ and install both DirectX and vcredist_x64.exe and vcredist_x86.exe

Afterwards, restart your PC and launch it again.

I installed all 3 exe's from DirectX and vcredist folder, restarted, tried it, no luck.

same here. Can't seem to get it to start at all. Even after running the redist files.

Update didn't fix my game either, can't even launch it. I get a "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000007b)."

I'm running RX480 8GB
16 GB RAM
i5-7500
Windows 10 64-bit

So I far exceed the requirements.

64bit C++ configuration error. Google the error code, fix in first link.

I found it !!! For me, it was a USB headphone that was the problem. I disconnected it, and now the game can start (had the same problem for LEGO Star Wars : Force awakens)

Do you know how to fix that problem and actually get sound once you plug your USB back in or just a general fix?

Shoot I'm sorry, I don't remember how I fixed it. Do you have a controller/controller dongle plugged in? Try unplugging those first then launching game.

Yeah i figured out the problem that my headphones USB is the problem but when i unplug it and plug it back in i wont get any sound for the game and i have no other headphones in my possession. Its ether i play without any sound so the game starts up or i find a way to fix where my USB wont cause the game to not start up anymore.
