Nah. They make the gameplay even better.

You're not losing due to Combo Assists, btw. You're losing because the Combo Breaker mechanic is trash. If it relied only on two buttons, instead of six for every kind of attack, plus the complete removal of the lOcK oUt feature things would be MUCH better.

Better than that would be an Auto Combo breaker, like the Ram spirit on Shadow Lords.

combo breaker mechanic is fine you just need more skill to see it is not trash. and the use of instinct should be all six buttons like the retro version and shadow moves should be simultaneous duel buttons, i do not know how many times i have used the shadow meter trying to do a combo and the buttons being so close on timing that it activated the shadow meter move. ( jago- light punch light punch light kick light kick low rotate heavy kick forward heavy kick forward heavy kick med kick light kick, seems to sometimes have problems with what seems like sever lag and thinking shadow move)

cant even do a very basic combo with jago light punch, light punch, med kick, med punch, back hev punch, down back rotate kick of choice! or light punch, light punch, med kick, light kick, light kick, forward hev kick, forward hev kick! and the lack of control of forward hev kick auto double kicks it takes away the combo light kick, light kick, med kick, hev kick, forward hev kick, down med kick, light punch, light punch, downforwarddigangal down forward punch of choice! its also bad enough that directional attacks have been removed or never added! the game really needs a developer that refuses the use of combo assist

I remember this dude suddenly appeared in killer ranks, lost to me once or twice, and next time I saw him he was silver, with 0 points in killer leaderboard
And there was like 2-3 more guys like that
